Neuro-intervention services have been commenced as a step towards precision medicine for treating stroke, cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and tumour embolisation.

Biplane DSA machine produces high-resolution 3D images of the complex cerebrovascular anatomy and is dedicated to neurointervention. It has the advantage of two sets of independently rotating cameras that move freely, capturing the images at a very rapid rate in front to back, side-to-side and oblique plains.  The detailed, real-time images of the blood vessels aided by advanced software, helps the endovascular surgeon to rotate the images in all planes as needed to plan the intervention.

  1. This ergonomic system is preferred over a single plane, where the positioning of the patients takes a long time.  For the safety of patients, not only the time taken for the procedure but also the amount of radio-opaque dye used is reduced.
  2. Biplane labs provide decreased radiation (procedural time is shorter as compared to single plane) in comparison to single plane and therefore safer for the doctors and other health workers alike.
  3. The above capabilities and image quality enable expeditious and safe treatment for stroke, aneurysm, arterio-venous malformations, using minimally invasive techniques, eliminating the need for open surgery.
