The Hospital has a Biomedical Engineering Department with specially trained personnel, Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMET’s), to assure that the medical equipment used for patient diagnosis, treatment or monitoring is calibrated and in good operating condition. This is done through an effective medical equipment maintenance program that includes regular preventive maintenance/calibration and rapid, effective repair of the equipment. Specialized medical equipment testing instruments are used and records are maintained using a computerized Medical Equipment Management Program.
